JEUX URBAINS  2025

” Montreal’s BMX Flatland History in the making.”

The 3rd edition of Montreal’s if not Canada’s finest BMX Flatland competition took place at Eaton Center Montreal May 16th to 18th 2025 and hosted riders from 8 countries that came to play our flatland games. The games consisted of a qualifier of 2 runs of 2min30 seconds, 1 vs 1 quarter finals and semi finals battles and a 3 way 10min non stop battle in finals. A Best  Trick and a Best Combo contest was had as well throughout the weekend. The idea behind the format is to amplify difficulty as we go forwards into the weekend’s activities. Who said Flatland had one way to be played in contests ? Urban Games brings it all ! Scroll through this page to find the final battle videos, full results and photo galleries by photographers on site during the event. Thanks for passing by !

After travelling 8 hours by bus, and more than 14 hours by plane with a stop in Punta Cana that was delayed for half a day , Owen arrived in Canada qualifying 5th on the first day of competition and after a good days rest, gathered his energies and won his battles against Barre Neirynck in Quarter Finals, Juan Niebles in Semi Finals and also beat JF Boulianne and Alex Jumelin in the final battle to secure his place at the top of the Montreal podium. He is definitely the guy that was thrown the highest due to his skill but also his weight hahaha 🙂 Make sure to follow him on instagram at @_owenbohn_ and let him know you found out about him here!

After qualifying 1st with a flawless run, Varo couldn’t keep the pace in Finals. As he skipped quarter finals, he lost the opportunity to break the ice, though awarded a jump to semi finals since our Swiss German rider Dan Hennig couldn’t receive his Electronic Canadian visa on time to compete. The first qualifier headed directly to semi finals. Varo lost his battle versus JF by a hair, who had just come hot off a win against Bruno Zebu from Brazil. in the first round of battles. Varo didn’t have his last word at this event and came back on the last day in Best Combo and worked his way to the top in a different tournament format of 45 seconds twice alternating and made it to finals with Owen and Alex and took the win! Follow @varohernandez for more of his story.

Another notable chapter of this contest took place in Best Trick with our Colombian friend, Juan Niebles. After qualifying 11th, with a run that left him wanting more, he came back and won his first battle against legendary rider Terry Adams. He lost his second battle against Owen Bohn that had a fire lit under him that day, but Juan furious, came back with his Best Trick and won that moment with a slam spinning his way through untold positions into backwards spinning forwards Death Truck! He was then lifted by his counterparts and thrown into the air! He was the first to be thrown into the air that weekend, followed by Owen and Varo!
