The 4th Edition of BMX Flatland at Jeux Urbains, Montréal.
This edition took place from March 20th to 22nd, 2026
The 2026 BMX Flatland contest at Jeux Urbains took place on a new subtrate, PINK was the chosen floor color for this year! With riders coming from 9 countries and 3 continents, we had the chance to witness styles and tricks from all around the planet. The age range of talent went from a 43 year old german tiktok superstar to a 15 year old rising japanese star, a girl that came to mark history at JU2026 even qualifying 9th out of 12 of the best riders in the world! It was the 1st time a girl took part in our event and it just so happens the floor was pink this year, coincidence ? OUR JUDGES THIS YEAR
It’s been a long time since Simon has touched a bike, but he’s been following the Flatland scene since his young age. He was the first of his generation to go PRO and even qualified for pro finals at Voodoo Jam back in 2005. Simon pioneered a style of his own and, to this day, has done tricks that only he can do and has kept a steady influence on many aspects of rolling style Flatland since his most accomplished years in the 2000’s.
Jason Plourde was our head judge at this event, he is a very accomplished rider that has reached the top of the sport. He spent many years in Shenzhen, China doing shows at Happy Valley, but has also qualified top 5 at events like Flat Ark. Has made a deep mar on the history of our sport in the province through his signature tricks such as The Transformer, but also through aggressive decade style tricks as well as his speed of riding. Barre is a Belgian PRO rider invested & involved in the Belgian BMX Flatland scene, he organized the Flatland contest at Urban Waves urban festival but also more recently at the Asfalt contest in Ghent. He is 3 times Belgian champion and if you were there in 2025 you could have seen him ride at our event. Barre s proficient on the front wheel, but also carries a wide knowledge of what has and can be done on the BMX Flatland bike.
